Our Mission
In a country that is divided along political lines; in a country where the media is mainly aligned to major political parties, and where news reports and analyses are skewed in favour of government and political parties, GhanaReporters seeks to be the voice of truth and dignity with respect to news reporting in Ghana.
Our immediate objective is to monitor and report on the Ghana 2012 Elections. We acknowledge that Ghana faces a major challenge in ensuring that the elections are free and fair, so we will play our part in terms of monitoring, evaluating, and whistle blowing, so as to ensure that the right things are done.
Our mission during the elections will be to provide accurate and incisive reports and news stories for the benefit of Ghanaians and Africans home and abroad.
With truth, accuracy, balance and fairness being our core values, everything we do as GhanaReporters will be independent, unbiased and executed with the utmost integrity.
We’ll prioritise investigative journalism as we look to find and report the truth, fairly, honestly and unfailingly. We’ll also focus on development journalism as we look to contribute towards the acceleration of Ghana’s economic development.
