Former Chelsea Winger Florent Malouda has heaped praises on his playing mate Michael Essien for establishing the Hope for Africa foundation.
The Charity foundation which seeks to support the under privileged in society has come up with a lot of programs that have benefited a number of communities in the Country.
The former Real Madrid player personally funded for the drilling of bore holes in his hometown Senya Breku two years ago and also donated some educational materials to a number of communities in the Central Region.
Malouda joined a host of world class players at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday to play in the Michael Essien Game of Hope Charity match.
The match which featured the likes of Michael Ballack, Pascal Chibonda, Emmanuel Ebuoe, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Ricardo Carvalho, Djibril Cisse among others saw an African XI select side led by Michael Essien beating a World XI side captained by Michael Ballack four goals to two.
“I feel very proud to be a part of this vision showed by my colleague Essien, two years ago I was here with Ashley Cole and co,and this time around I accepted to be here once more”.
The Charity game was aimed at raising funds to support the underprivileged children through the building of projects in some local communities.
