The Editor of the New Crusading Guide, Mr Abdul Malik Kwaku Baako, has told the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police service that would not disclose the source of a series of police statements his paper published in relation to the Woyome saga.
The New Crusading GUIDE`s Special Investigations Team (SIT) recently intercepted within the corridors of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police, several caution statements given by Mr. Alfred Agbesi Woyome to Police CID investigators in the wake of his first arrest and subsequent charging with the offence of conspiracy to commit fraud and defrauding by false pretences and corruption of public officer.
Th statements were then published.
This prompted the CID to invite Mr Baako for questioning as to how his paper came by the statements.
“I told them that disclosing my source was a mission impossible, because no journalist worth his salt would disclose his source”, he said.
“I will never disclose my source even at gunpoint”, Mr Baako emphasised.
